Cassette Restoration - Digital Audio


Do you have a favorite cassette tape? Whether your tape is music, book, or self-recording, our Restoration Service provides a new life for your tape. Our Mastering facility is equipped with some of the best equipment in the world to restore your audio to the best possible conditions.

Our Restoration Service reduces or eliminates noises that are Characteristically found in most cassette tapes. In additon, we have the capability to remove most background noises (ie: wind and talking).

As part of the Restoration Service, Black Dog will provide you a CD of your project. This will preserver your digital audio for years to come. Our Taiyo Yuden CD's have a life span of over 100 years.


The Process


In order to get started, forward your cassette tape(s) to Black Dog Mastering Studio. Once our Engineers receive your project, they will begin to restore your tape(s) to a digital .wav file. Once complete the final version will be burned onto a CD for your listening pleasure. We will then forward you the final CD, and your original tapes. These CD's can be played in any CD player, and can also be saved to your hard drive.

Black Dog Mastering Studio offers a separate studio for all Restoration and Transferring Services. This allows our business to offer excellent and competitive rates on these services.

Please Note: Our restoration and transferring prices include both sides of any cassette tape. Please see our Rates Page to see our prices and make a payment. We accetpt all major credit cards, PayPal, checks and money orders. Once you have made the payment for your service, please forward your project to our studio. In addition, if you have a custom project please contact our studio for rates.

Please Note: With any cassette tape or DAT there is a possibility it could be damaged during the Restoration or Transferring process. As the cassette tape or DAT ages it becomes weak. This is why it is important to preserve and digitize your tapes to CD.
